ohn W. Gore was born in Illinois, January 8, 1852, and lived in that state until he came to California four years ago. He has been engaged in farming all his life. He was married to Mary E. Lee, a native of Illinois, and five children have been born to them. On coming to Redlands Mr. Gore purchased the old Glover homestead, in Lugonia, one of the oldest ranches in this vicinity, nearly all of which is in orange orchard. Mr. Gore is a director in the Lugonia Water Company, and is also a trustee of the Lugonia School District.
